The tabular output files (analysis.tab and analysis.csv) contain a summary of the main analysis results in plain text and MS Excel CSV file versions. Both of the tabular output files can be accessed in the results directory or by clicking the Open Tabular Data or Open Tabular CSV buttons in Results tab.
The top section of the output files (analysis.tab and analysis.csv) contains general information on the PipeLay project (this is the information specified on the Project component) as well as more specific information on the analysis itself, including the analysis title (this is the same as the Analysis component name) and the date and time of the analysis run. This section is entitled PROJECT in analysis.csv.
The next section of the output file, the first part of the Static Solution Summary section, contains a summary of the fundamental model inputs (for example pipeline geometric and structural properties) and some standard computational outputs (such as pipe tension, touchdown, projected span length etc.). This section is included mainly for input data verification purposes. This section is entitled SUMMARY1 in analysis.csv.
The next section of the output file, the second part of the Static Solution Summary section, contains a summary of output parameters at critical locations in the model –touchdown point, support locations etc. This table affords an overview of forces and moments at the most critical locations in the model. This section is entitled SUMMARY2 in analysis.csv.
Further tables present detailed results for every node in the model. This allows an in-depth analysis of displacements, stresses, support reactions and separations, tensions and bending moments for the whole model.
Some sample tabular output, extracted from both analysis.tab and analysis.csv, is shown in the two figures below.
