Weight in Air: |
The weight in air of the buoy. Units: [kN] or [kips] |

Weight in Water: |
The weight in water of the buoy. Units: [kN] or [kips] |

PipeLay models the buoy weight in air by means of a point mass at the location of the buoy. A point buoyancy is used to model the net buoyancy force equal to the difference between the weight in air and the weight in water. Specification of buoy hydrodynamic properties is optional. By default, buoy hydrodynamics are omitted.
