Pipe Section - Attachments Tab

The Attachments tab facilitates the specification of continuous buoyancy, discrete buoyancy modules, and strakes on a pipe section. Attachments may only be specified if the Standard format is used to specify the pipe section Properties.

You select the attachment type from the Attachments drop-down list, as shown in the 'Attachment Selection' figure below. The remaining inputs on the Attachments tab are enabled or disabled as appropriate, depending on the attachment option selected here. By default, no attachments are included.

 

The first attachment option is Buoyancy Continuous, and the required inputs for this format are illustrated in the 'Buoyancy Continuous' figure below.

 

The second attachment option is Buoyancy Modular, and the required inputs for this format are illustrated in the 'Buoyancy Modules' figure below.

 

The third attachment option is Strakes, and the required inputs for this format are illustrated in the 'Strakes' figure below.
