V3.5 Release Highlights - Enhanced Analysis Component

PipeLay solution robustness has been augmented by the introduction of the Generalised Alpha method. This is a new time-stepping method which enables to control the level of numerical damping applicable to all dynamic stages on this Analysis component. A new Time Stepping section on the Properties tab of the Analysis component allows control of this option. Generalised Alpha is the default option for PipeLay Version 3.5.1 and later, supplementing the Hilber-Hughes option found in earlier versions of PipeLay and still available for usage. Please note that opening existing PipeLay project files will by default enable the Generalised Alpha option.

Vessel and Stinger Radii of Curvature can be better controlled through the Parameters tab on the Analysis component. These parameters are calculated automatically across all relevant stages.

Improvements to the import of Installation Stages, Parameters and Criteria data. The parameters defined in the original stages persist after the import operation completes.

Improvements to the Pipe Section Stabilizer. This feature had been made more robust in particular for pipe-in-pipe sections.
