The Model component is a powerful and intuitive tool for constructing 3D models of pipe laying scenarios. In this example the Model component is named ‘Model’. The Seabed for the Model (in this case ‘Rigid Seabed’) is selected and the Water Depth is defined as 750m. The following sections describe the various elements added to the model.
Two Vessel components are added, ‘Tug(1)’ and ‘FPU(1)’ respectively. The properties for these vessels are given in the tables below.

Two connection points are defined in this example, ‘Tug Connection’ and ‘FPU Connection’, and both are located in the Vessel Connection Points folder. The two tables below contain the properties of each connection point.

One Line component is added, ‘Pipeline(1)’. The start point is specified as ‘Tug Connection’ and the end point as ‘FPU Connection’. The Internal Fluid is defined as ‘Seawater’. The Sag Option is selected as ‘None’.
