Wood PLC is proud to announce the release of PipeLay Version 2020.1. This new version provides an improved licensing model, an enhanced Analysis component and a native 64 bit user interface.
The Version 2020.1 release is our update of PipeLay this year (2020).
The main feature highlights of the latest version are summarised as follows:
•Hydrodynamic Data importer
oThis utility program allows you to automatically import characteristic data, in terms of displacements RAOs relating to a vessel from a range of well-known hydrodynamic simulation packages, including WAMIT, ANSYS, Aqwa and NEMOH.
•PipeLay powered by AWS AppStream
oPipeLay is now offered as SaaS with AWS AppStream 2.0. You can now perform your simulations in the cloud, offering instant computational scalability during busy periods, along with the flexibility to spread operational costs evenly across various offshore engineering projects. The reduction in capital expenditure for expensive hardware is complemented by efficient management of software fees via an hourly-based licensing system.
