The Model component is a powerful and intuitive tool for constructing models in PipeLay. In this example the Model component is named ‘Model’, created in the Model folder. The Seabed for the Model (in this case ‘Arbitrary Rigid Seabed’) is selected and the Water Depth is defined as 300m. The following sections describe the various elements added to the model.
Two connection points are defined in this example, ‘Free End’ and ‘Seabed Connection’. Both connection points are created in the Fixed Connection Points folder and have the properties shown in the two tables below respectively.
